Well, after a pleasant morning evaluating my relationship with my boyfriend/fiance and sharing our plans for our upcoming wedding, it seems fitting that the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for this week is a card featuring best friends.
What I’ve noticed about myself is that whenever I’m playing with a sentiment that involves more than one person, I use butterflies (which I have a freaking lot of from a Cricut binge cut day) that are very different in pattern to illustrate diversity. I don’t think I do it on purpose to make a statement, but when I look at the finished product, I’m always very proud of what it says :-).
This is the third and final challenge entry I made this morning, for the Simon Says Stamp, Wednesday Challenge Blog topic: Ombre (what a mouthful :-)).
I’ve never [Holy Crap is snowing outside!] done and ombre before, though I love playing with “tie-dyed” paper, which is mostly what I used here.
As for the snow, I really should pay better attention to the weather forecasts! Though as I glance over at Weather.com to see what is supposed to be happening, they have 34 degrees and RAIN–this is definitely not rain, haha. It was raining earlier and I thought it’d stopped until I happened to see the white stuff on the AC out my window (just the tiny bit visible around the curtain–the curtain is open now so I can watch it fall is some HUGE flakes). I live in Southeastern Virginia–I get really excited to see snow stick to the ground!
Anyway, back to the card:
Woohoo! I was productive this morning!
I’ve been needing to make some birthday cards and I figured that actually completing another card challenge would be killing two birds with one stone. So, here’s my entry into the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #219:
I made 2 other cards for challenges that I will post separately.
As a reminder, I have other cards for sale in my shop Serendipitous Cards. This card isn’t for sale, however. Sorry!
